Housing for all Summer Dialogue registrants will be located in Hoyme Residence Hall. Single or double occupancy is available. Bed linens, towels and washcloths are provided. You might want to bring an extra blanket, pillow and your favorite fan.

Housing check in procedure: ACDA-MN will assign rooms and distribute/collect all room keys available at the on-site registration location in the Valhalla Dining Room, Buntrock Commons building..

*(be certain to include the name of your room mate on the registration shopping cart and let that person know that their name has been entered into the housing system)

  • Your housing reservations are contracted directly with St. Olaf College.

  • No refunds or exchanges are offered.

  • No on-site housing reservations are available.

  • Registrants must pre-register your on-campus housing requests by Monday, July 15, 10:00 PM

Lost Keys/Access Cards — It is the policy of the college to charge $95 for each lost key and $10 for each access card not returned at the end of Summer Dialogue week.

Trash Removal — A $60/hour clean-up fee will be charged to each room if the occupant fails to leave the room in broom-clean condition and empty all trash containers upon check-out.

Summer Dialogue registrants are required to adhere to all College policies, regulations, guidelines and all local, state and federal laws concerning health, safety and public order. College regulations include but are not limited to the following in College buildings and on College property:

  • All individuals will abide by Minnesota State law, federal law and College regulations including but not limited to those laws and regulations regarding intoxicants, narcotics and drugs.
  • Consumption of alcoholic beverages is now permitted on campus.
  • Firearms, weapons, ammunition, fireworks explosives and highly flammable materials are not allowed on campus.
  • Except for service animals, animals are not allowed on the campus.
  • Candles, hotplates or similar appliances are not permitted in rooms nor is any type of cooking allowed in any building.
  • Tampering with the fire alarm system or firefighting equipment is not allowed.
  • Removal of lounge or common area furniture into individual rooms is not allowed nor can furniture from individual rooms be removed.
  • Gambling or solicitation in any form is not permitted.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any building on campus, or within 20 feet of building entrances or exits.
  • Camping is not permitted on campus grounds.
  • Recreational vehicles may not be occupied while parked on the campus.
  • The use of nails, staples, adhesives, and tape is prohibited at all times.
  • Overnight parking is permitted in Skoglund/Tostrud Athletic Center parking lots.
  • Parking in any fire lane is not allowed.
  • There is no reserved parking for Summer Dialogue staff or registrants.
  • ACDA-MN is responsible for the behavior of all registrants.
  • Quiet hours at the College are from 10 pm each evening through 7 am the next morning.
  • The College retains the right to require any member of the ACDA-MN organization to leave the College premises if the College feels that circumstances require it.
  • To revoke the campus privilege, including residency in or utilization of any of its buildings, or any occupant whose conduct, solely in the College’s opinion, becomes injurious to the community.
  • To enter any room for the purpose of inspection, repair, or emergency.
  • College reserves the rights to amend its rules and regulations at any time as deemed necessary when it is in the College’s best interests.
