New and Innovative Practices: Programming/Community Engagement/Human Connections cultivated through Storytelling
This presentation will provide methods to connect with students and the community to create compelling concert experiences. The presentation will include a survey of multicultural choral music and resources for educators, as well as tools to think outside the box to allow our music to deeply connect to those around us.
This session will explore how we find our most comfortable moving bodies as leaders of music in rehearsal and performance using Anatomy, Laban Movement Theory, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and Dynamic Body Balance.
